Lovely work
I wish I could apprentice with you for a decade or so... love how you do what you do, Kim. 🏆
Hello and thanks for the videos. I am doing a banquette and I am having trouble finding a good foam like a 2.5HD that will not compress after a few years. Do you know where I might find a a place where I could order a 3 inch thick by 6 foot L pieces? It is for a rental.
Click bait
Wow! This is a great tutorial
Ok great information. My question is furniture with the channels my staple gun won't fit in the channel or groove? 22g upholstry gun. I have pics
First pneumatic should I start with the long nose?
I learned a couple of new tricks watching your shade videos...#1 folding the shroud before sewing. I had some shroud that had come in a kit ( I don't usually use that sort of shroud ) and I used it on my own project and I think I tacked both sides. The other trick was the way you pulled through the cords from the RBS system. One thing I didn't see you do was add the weight bar...I am guessing it in the bottom hem and I am thinking that dofix must be pretty good stuff. For those who don't have a dofix system, Wawak has a good double face tape -leather tape. I feel like I have a better system for marking where the tacks go for the shroud...other than that, this is a wonderful instructional video. I appreciated the way you did the top velcro and noted that wee bit above it so as to really cover the headrail. Good Job!

what tool would i use to make my own prong back 3/4" tufting buttons?
@@tinabutters-hargrave7911 you would need a button press to do this.
@KimsUpholstery i have two. I have #30 for non prong buttons. Is there a video explaining prong buttons?
I need to see how to make the frame… so from start to finish would be helpful… what kind of wood etc…?.
@@RedheadedMusic our online classes have step by step instructions for this.
Very nice!
Much too fast to really learn anything! 😠
I look forward to getting back to work and your videos help me a lot, Thanks So Much, Looks Amazing😍💞💯
So happy to see you,🤗 I have learned SO much from your channel, Thanks for the Inspiration, Blessings💞
How did you remove the leg and put it back? I have similar chair thats just doesn’t fit through the door in to my bedroom because of the legs, I’m thinking of removing them and attaching back when already inside the bedroom….please advice
The audio on the second part of this video is really bad.
Hi there, Leann here from New Zealand - I have been asked to create a slip cover using faux leather for the exact same style of chair. My question is do I have to create a skirt and opening like yours or can it be a slip over without button openings?
Is it nesesary to replace the springs or is it fine to use the old ones?
You're the best RUclips teacher I've ever seen! Not a lot of yapping, just easy to understand straight forward directions. Well done!
@theshufits8916 Thank you! I don't want to confuse people by rambling on, so I am glad to hear I am successful! Don't forget to check out our website for more information.
I found this to be very helpful for the first time making a slipcover for a padded high stool with scroll back. I haven't cut into the fabric yet as I'm afraid I'll ruin it, but the mock up fabric is starting to take shape. Thank you.,
Hey @ThomasFletcher-c5i, that is nice to hear. Keep going you can do this! Checkout our website for blogs and more info on slipcovers.
😊
😊
Nice to see you on RUclips!
So is hot glueing it a durable option? Will it last?
Kim, you bring new life to worn furniture. But you also bring smiles for those of us trying to emulate your wonderful efforts. Thank you for guiding us!
What did you call the grey fabric under the cotton? Was it "sag-less"?
Excellent video! Thank you!
What’s the point of this worthless video ?’👎

Can you do this with an entire kinf mattress?
I don't have a steamer, any suggestions?
❤❤❤❤❤
Great job 👏🏻. Very concise tutorial. Looking forward to viewing the rest of your content on your channel 🙏
Hi. I know this video was made several years ago but have a question. I just picked up a Wade press but it didn't come with the dies. Do you know what sizes I need for this press. 5/8? And do you have any links? Thank you.
@@JoePalumbo221 Albany foam carries dies that for the wade press.

How do i apply batting to my sofà cussion
Hi do you have online class
Dental floss is a brilliant idea!
Rather than stapling the gathered pcs to a separate board (wish the video had explained why that was done)), if the TOP of the springs has a wooden frame the skirt can be stapled directly to that. For making a skirt for springs with a metal top frame, after gathering the skirt fabric sew a strip of fabric* (I once tore an old white sheet into strips) to the gathered pc (right sides together, ⅝" seam) then flip it over, press the seam toward the strip, align the edge of the seam with the outside of the metal pc, pllull the strip across the metal, extending a bit further beyond it, & use upholstery "pins' ** to attach the strip to the fabric (or whatever the rest of the springs are covered with) as close as possible to the inside edge of the metal. Easy to remove for laundering - just unscrew the pins. *Width of the strips: ⅝" + width of the metal pc + an inch or so extra. **Upholstery pins: round, flat pc of plastic for the top, "corkscrew" pc of metal, with a point at the end, coming down from the center of the top, place the point where you want it & twist the top pc until it's flat to the surface of the fabric.
Thank you so much for the brilliant idea !!❤❤❤ I was almost going to return new chairs back because the cushioning was indented due to packing , did your trick, and it worked like magic . THANK YOU ❤❤❤
I didn't see where you added the buttons. Which segment?
I'm about to make a slipcover with spoonflower fabric! It will be the second (kind of third) for this chair. Thanks for making these videosa
love the dental floss!
Hi Kim. Love your videos. I have a Craftsy membership and have done you sofa slip cover class and successfully cover a small sofa in natural 12oz bull denim. I’ve just finished measuring a larger sofa I’m going to do. The deck, outside back and inside back measurements are all 84 - 90 inches in width. I’m either going to use 58” 12oz bull denim or 72” 10oz natural canvas. I planned on laying the pieces by height up/down roll or would you recommend doing rail road so I don’t have to piece. If I use the bull denim I will have to make sure the subtle pattern is going the same direction. Thank you.
Really nice job.
FINALLY!.... Instructions that show how to recover the backs of dining room chairs. Thanks so much.
Another frustrating USELESS video! WHAT'S THE POINT of posting a video where you LEAVE OUT THE HARD PARTS? The front edge is already done and that's the most difficult part! Thanks for NOTHING.
USELESS, frustrating video! Calculating the angles and sewing the front edge is the most difficult part of the job and she SKIPPED IT ENTIRELY! There is NO POINT in posting videos with only PART of the information!!
